PRINCIPLE OF HYALURONIC ACID:
It is a natural constituent of the skin and the entire body. Available synthetically, not of animal origin, it is widely used in medicine as for example in knee osteoarthritis or in some ophthalmic indications.
For the skin, hyaluronic acid has repairing or volume restoring qualities, but also acts to stimulate the fibroblast and is therefore effective in the skin’s own regeneration. It also ensures very good skin hydration thanks to its ability to retain water. Very safe due to its own qualities and the fact that it is completely resorbable.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SESSION:
The skin does not require any special preparation. For optimum comfort, it is advisable to apply an anaesthetic cream to the treated areas beforehand. Local anaesthesia is also an option, especially for lip injections.

DOWNTIME :
There is no downtime for the filling of cheeks, dark circles, temples, nasolabial folds and chin. One to three days of swelling with extensive lip treatment.
AFTER EFFECTS:
• The treated areas will be slightly red and swollen. This lasts from a few hours to a day: if there has been bruising from an injection (common with taking aspirin or anti-inflammatories), discolouration may persist for 8 days. Make-up is recommended.
• Some unwanted side effects may be associated with hyaluronic acid injections. These effects may include bleeding, pain, local redness, bruising and swelling.
• Other side effects include the appearance of small lumps, called nodules, accompanied by inflammation (redness and swelling).

Pregnancy, immune diseases, wound healing disorders, Interferon treatment, previous injection of permanent fillers.
HOW LONG IT LASTS :
The corrective procedure is usually done in one session, the result is immediate. Filling lasts on average 1 year, and goes up to 2 years for filling dark circles and volumising products.
