PRINCIPLE OF TENSOR THREADS :
The aim of this technique is to restore skin tightness using permanent or resorbable threads, which are equipped with notches invisible to the naked eye, allowing the tissues to cling.
Resorbable threads are currently the most widely used for their ease of use. They are mainly composed of poly lactic acid or polydiaxonone (PDO), fully biocompatible materials that have been used for many years in medicine and surgery.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SESSION :
The tensor threads must be placed in a sterile environment and therefore must strictly be done in a medical environment After a small amount of local anaesthesia, the doctor introduces the tensor threads with the help of metal cannulas which he/she slides into the subcutaneous area. This is completely painless as this level has no nerves. However, minor discomfort may be felt in certain areas of the face when the cannula is inserted, such as the nasolabial folds, or marionette lines.
The cannula is then removed, leaving the tensor thread in place under the skin. The doctor then proceeds to a light massage in the axis of the thread in order to position it and create the desired lifting effect.
